Over the Rockies
No, no, not like “We’re so over the Rockies”, but in the way that we certainly crossed them in all their icy glory! Our first show, in Grand Junction at the Confluence Collective was a welcoming backyard gathering, complete with campfire and good friends Gary (Fuck, Yes!) and Shaun, on their Raise the Stakes! Tour.
Through the mesas of GJ and over the treacherous hills of ski bumming towns, we made it safely to Denver and the Mercury Cafe, where we were happy to please the glorious-mess-makers, do-gooders, rag-taggers, horn-tooters and musical entrepreneurs of the audience, including Laura Goldhamer and the Silvernail, and the surprisingly heart-warming All Liver No Onions. We will miss you Denver, as you are so full of vibrant persons that no punk-house population has enough collective fingers to count off.
Off on the 8+ hour drive ‘cross Kansas. Wish us some excitement for Pete’s sake! I’ll keep my eye out for a Norse god or two to break the monotony of the plain, but I’m not holding my breath.
Love, Bramble
