VICTORY!

Hello readers! So the Autumn 2010 Music-On-Bikes Tour by James Miska and Matt Laser is officially over! The duo has made it tot heir final destination of rural Virginia, outside the town of Louisa, nestled into the intentional community of people living at Twin Oaks. Their adventure is not wholly over, with another 2 weeks to spend at Twin Oaks, wherein there will be music to play, but many of the big cities on the East coast were found to still be impressionable as the two passed through them on their bikes. Their shows went well and busking sometimes went even better. Expect to see them back in action in Utah, come November. (Meaning look for the next Bramble show on this website and in the City Weekly…!)

Love you!

Show in Philadelphia on Friday night!

Woohoo! So James and Matt have made it as far as New York City on their bikes. It’s been a wild ride, for sure. Montpelier and won through Vermont into Massachusetts and diagonally across Connecticut through Torrington and down to New Haven, then taking the coastal Highway 1 all the way to New York City. A readable account of what has transpired will be available soon through a link in a future post. They are about to embark on the 2nd leg of their journey starting tomorrow, looking to make it to Philly by Friday afternoon to play their show, at:

Big Plans!
5206 Catharine, a house in West Philly
@ 8 pm
Bring your merry selves, and maybe some of your own instruments for a-singin and a-playin after the show?!
It’s a donation based show. Hope to see you there!

Back from Tour, and playing in the Pride Parade this week!

Wow! Our tour was a great success. We met hundreds of rad folks, who, if you’re reading this, you know who you are, and thank you for introducing yourselves and talking with us. It makes us all feel really good to know that we’ve just made a good impression. We’ll be back out again I’m sure, later this year! Check out the pics at the bottom!

ALSO! Now that we’re back, we’re jumping right into it with playing this Sunday morning at Salt Lake City’s fantastic celebration of being Queer, The Annual Pride Parade! We get to play on the float for the Downtown Alliance, or so it would seem. So if you’re feelin loose and fabulous, come down to the parade and see us toy with our amplification setup and dance as we roll along! Should be ridiculous if nothing else. And hell, Bramble was founded on ridiculousness. Love you, bye!
