If you have not figured it out yet, or have not heard, we, Bramble, did not make our goal with our Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds we needed in order to create a full-length album. We tried hard, and THANK YOU! THANK YOU ALL! Thank you so very much for reading our post, watching our video, pledging to donate our cause, and sending us your encouraging words. I guess all we have to say for ourselves for now is: Better luck next time.

However! For the summer, we’re taking a well-deserved break. Pursuing music on our own and on our own time, we’re off enjoying different adventures until further notice.

To follow what James is up to, for instance, you can visit our Youtube channel and view his adventures in Alaska, where he is working as a bicycling tourguide. And you can see us in action as we have done in the past!

Our first show, in Grand Junction at the Confluence Collective was a welcoming backyard gathering, complete with campfire and good friends Gary (Fuck, Yes!) and Shaun, on their Raise the Stakes! Tour.

Through the mesas of GJ and over the treacherous hills of ski bumming towns, we made it safely to Denver and the Mercury Cafe, where we were happy to please the glorious-mess-makers, do-gooders, rag-taggers, horn-tooters and musical entrepreneurs of the audience, including Laura Goldhamer and the Silvernail, and the surprisingly heart-warming All Liver No Onions. We will miss you Denver, as you are so full of vibrant persons that no punk-house population has enough collective fingers to count off.

Off on the 8+ hour drive ‘cross Kansas. Wish us some excitement for Pete’s sake! I’ll keep my eye out for a Norse god or two to break the monotony of the plain, but I’m not holding my breath.

There’s a great band in town called Matteo who has asked us to be their opening act for a show at the Downtown SLC Library with them this Wednesday the 8th!

It will be our first show in 5 months, and our first show with our new members Matthew Laser and Benjamin Hatch! Please come out and support us and Matteo if you’ve got the wild hair in you to do so! You won’t regret it!
